But afterward the user will have to pay for the plan like any regular users pay for their health plan. At the end of the day, we all have our faults, some may effect our health and others may not. Don't let your prejudices get in the way of helping someone out.

Well, certainly. But that's the fault of the system.

There's a big difference between "helping someone out" and "participating in an overbearing health care system."

We are simply investing in someones future. Sort of like your parents invested in you.

No, never, over my dead body.

I don't know if you understand this, but you have just written an excellent working definition of tyranny.

    Government-as-parents indeed...

Actually my children aren't, which rather amazes me. Both their mom and I (I especially) are carrying extra weight, but my children are all average-to-thin for their ages. My younger son is downright skinny; you can count every muscle and bone in his torso. His deal is, he can't be bothered to quit playing or reading long enough to finish a meal.

The kids are homeschooled, and eat three home-cooked meals almost every day; my wife buys very little in the way of prepared foods, preferring to do the cooking herself. All the children were all breast-fed as infants. I have wondered if one or more of these factors could be the reason why my children all have BMIs well within the healthy range.
