    Default Robert Higgs

Whilst in the USA earlier this year, I started watching CSPAN2 and was very interested to listen to the interview with Robert Higgs. It really made me think about the way we are governed. His arguments seemed to be very logical and appeared to make sense. Is anyone else aware of his work? What are your opinions?

I met Robert Higgs at a Future of Freedom Foundation event in Virginia last year. He is somewhat nutty in personal demeanor (many paleolibertarians are) but he does a fantastic job of documenting the myriad ways in which the federal government has illegally and consistently interfered in geopolitical affairs in the past two centuries.

Higgs is a Senior Fellow in Political Economy for The Independent Institute. They are a wonderful organization and their president is Donald Theroux. He is a lovely man and he provided my friend and me several books and copies of their publication free of charge. I keep up with him via e-mail from time to time.

You may want to check out FFF"s books Liberty, Security, and the War on Terrorism, and The Failure of America's Foreign Wars.

Thanks for your response, I really appreciate it. I have to say that the guy really impressed me, and I'll certainly be checking out the book you've recommended.
