No, because most Republicans don't REALLY believe Obama was not born in the United States. That's what OneWithSoul and I are saying. They are going along with it anyway to try to undermine Obama, and it makes them look stupid.
If I had to guess I'd say 15% have serious doubts, and the rest are being intellectually dishonest when they claim to have doubts. No one does cognitive dissonance quite like the Right.

Pretty much, but some conspiracies are real, obviously. I know a lot of black people who believe some really bizarre conspiracy theories about the federal government, but I don't blame black people for being suspicious of it, do you?
