I changed the post. Some people are just too sensitive. Don't let me stop you from saying something useful about healthcare.

Inefficient. We almost need a zip car like model for hospitals. When you want a zip car you log on to the site select the car you want and the system shows you a list of cars in your neighborhood along with prices.

Such a system could work if private hospitals were to compete on price. Doctors could recommend whatever treatment they deem appropriate. The incentive for the patients to find the best price would be in their insurance premium. Lower cost hospital services might be further out of town/less convenient. They might not give patients free drinks or toothpaste. Maybe they don't get their own room with cable TV. Lower income people might be willing to go without the luxuries to save on their premium. If they compete on price to earn a profit you can bet hospital costs will fall.

Healthcare is a form of miscommunication I believe the patient (customer believes that it is a form of alturism and the people involved are there to help) The doctors and managers see it as a business... This leads to a mismatch of expectations and ideas... never to be reconciled

    We FUCKING need it!

We're like 30th in the world as far as Health Care goes.

Big businesses have had their time, now we need to focus on the people. Not money,..people.
Is it that by its indefiniteness it shadows forth the heartless voids and immensities of the universe, and thus stabs us from behind with the thought of annihilation, when beholding the white depths of the milky way?

Absolutely agree One! But unfortunately the way it's going it is just another business that's in danger of going bust

    Agreed.

It's all business. It's almost impossible to have something for the people these days.
