    shows poll results of:

    49% favor
    46% oppose
    5% don't know

Senator Arlen Specter stated at a town hall that single payer is not off the table, and stated that most Americans still favor this choice.

I saw that poll already. I hate to break it to you, but 49% is less than half. In other words, not a majority.

Duh! I never said it was a majority...I said it showed support for single payer. Stop the nitpicking, it is really tiring, and show people the courtesy of actually reading what they post. And by the way 49% is higher than 46%.

And 5% unsure is bigger than the spread there. Like I was saying before, I've never seen a poll that showed majority support for single-payer beside the one you cited earlier. That hasn't changed.

And Chris Matthews embarrasses himself on MSNBC, calling the Town Hall protesters a bunch of racists in so many words.

And here is Lawrence O'Donnell stuffing words into Peter Schiff's mouth for eight minutes. I can't believe this made it onto a major news network's airtime.

    Wow, that was pathetic.
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

The blanket accusation of racism when then there are clear representations of valid issues being presented is an ad hominem of "captain obvious" proportions. I am deeply saddened that this tactic works on so many people.

I kind of chuckled at Matthew's mention of "Rage at what?" American media's favorite influential mechanism is the "Outrage Machine."

Wtf? Seriously? What would be the purpose of that? You know, besides avoiding presented issues.

Here's Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee patiently and respectfully listening to a constituent at a Town Hall. . . :steam: So many of these morons must be voted out next cycle.

    Typical.
