I don't care if she had mental illnesses or was under the use of substance.
If she is sane enough to be living in a normal house hold, than in my eyes, there is no excuse for this.
We're so corrupt.
Is it that by its indefiniteness it shadows forth the heartless voids and immensities of the universe, and thus stabs us from behind with the thought of annihilation, when beholding the white depths of the milky way?
A death sentence would be redundant. If this schizophrenic mother finally receives the mental health treatment she was clearly in such desperate need of prior to this incident, if she becomes "well" enough to comprehend the gravity of the crimes she committed against her own child, it will be an irrevocable death sentence assigned by herself to herself.
My question is why were the mentally competent individuals around her not aware of the severity of her mental condition? Weren't they living with her? Were they also incompetent? Just heartbreaking.
