Hey if entertaining certain delusions make you happy, I have no issue with it.

And that's the first step in being a good ruler. I don't need force, I just need you to keep making concessions like that because you think I'm silly. Easy peasy.

    Imaginary concessions don't count really.

Then you have no idea how manipulation really works. Either way, I would rule you fairly and benevolently, no worries.

It depends on their intellect and their true intentions. Gender has nothing to do with it.

There are plenty of men that make either good or bad leaders and the same can be said about women.

I don't care if you are using assertive rhetoric and wear those jackets with padded shoulders. I will hulk out and fight you for the leadership position and kill any who try to stop me. Ooga booga!

I don't necessarily think men or women are better leaders. I think they lead differently and better in different situations. Above all, competence is an important factor.

The poll isn't representative of our opinions, since you didn't put a "doesn't matter" option. And a lot of people here are expressing that opinion.

    My opinion.

You definitely see some instinctive patterns in leadership -- more men relate through the "dominance" angle and more women tend to facilitate more easily, so leadership styles can be a bit different -- it really depends on the sort of task that must be accomplished as to who is a better "leader." But upbringing, training, ethical value system, life experience, and the like also greatly impact leadership ability.

I didn't bother to vote. There is no answer that reflects my opinion, so I'm posting instead.
