    The problem with Wikipedia is not so much its proportion of accurate (if not necessarily objective) material relative to other encyclopedias (its frankly not much less accurate overall at any given time, and usually provides more information on any given topic), but rather the constantly changing nature of its material-this makes it impossible to verify the accuracy of a wikipedia citation for posterity, and Wikipedia is an innapropriate source as a consequence. I would agree that Wikipedia is highly useful as a starting point in any research effort, however.

    Ahh, so the reason Wikipedia isn't the greatest source for historical record is because its own historical record is unreliable. I can agree with that.
