Default Should the US move towards universal health care?

The rest of the developed world has it. Should the US?

Universal health care is health care coverage for all eligible residents of a political region and often covers medical, dental and mental health care. These programs vary in their structure and funding mechanisms. Typically, most costs are met via a single-payer health care system or national health insurance, or else by compulsory regulated pluralist insurance (public, private or mutual) meeting certain regulated standards. Universal health care is implemented in all but one of the wealthy, industrialized countries, with the exception being the United States. It is also provided in many developing countries and is the trend worldwide.

The poll just signifies that it will likely have the support to happen. Wasn't trying to make an argument for or against just yet.

Yeah, that's why it's so hard to be anti-health reform right now. This stuff should have happened back with Clinton, long overdue.

I've always been of the belief the socialized medicine is doomed to failure.
If a deaf INFP falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

Because it's a mythical reality that exists only in the heads of lefties and ignoramuses. There are many elements to the QUALITY of health care that must be compared between countries with and without socialized medicine, and much of that quality is dependant on how much the government RATIONS the healthcare and ultimately mandates what everybody needs health wise, which branches off into the issue of personal freedoms. Since few sheep are capable of contemplating the latter issue, its best just to focus on the different aspects of health care systems that must be compared and contrasted.
