Maybe we can collect some results here, I would be intrested. There is a general tendency to right-wing extremism as it may seem in this voting period. Thats pretty sad, cause especially in a financial crisis I dont think its wise to fall back to nationalism.
Preliminary voting results Germany (results of 2004 in brackets):
UNION ( consists of: CDU [Conservatives] and CSU [Bavarian Traditionalists] ) - 38.3 % ( - 6.2 % )
SPD ( Socialists ) - 21.0 % ( - 0.5 % )
GRÜNE ( green and centre-left ) - 11.9 % ( +/- 0.0 % )
FDP ( Liberals / centre-right ) - 10.8 % ( + 4.7 % )
LINKE ( Left-Extremists / Popularizers ) - 7.1 % ( + 1.5 % )
Others: 10.9 % ( + 3.4 % )
Participation in the Vote: 42.3 % of the invited people (worser than in 2004)
I voted FDP, which obviously did a lot. Not only because I am a member of the party () but because I thought they had got the best programm for Europe.
