I don't know why they announce these things anymore, it's not like adding another missing link to the other 10,000 skeletons (or whatever we have of it) is gonna convince any staunch anti-evolution demographic.

plus, its not like anyone on this website needed to see more evidence

And some people, like me, don't believe that creation and evolution are mutually exclusive topics.

There's quite a bit of skepticism as to whether or not it's actually a human ancestor.
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

Cool stuff. But I don't need fossils to know that we're an evolved race from tiny organisms over the course of billions of years.

Just for clarification as I understand where you are coming from.

I find these acknowledgements interesting and important. But not for the sake of 'proving them right'.

It's a great find, to get more insight into our roots, but all this media crap is just taking the piss out of it. Your BS ALERT didn't catch that point.

It doesn't have to. My only job here is to harangue other NTPs.

    Carry on.

And here I thought you were gonna preach to us about the missing link between apes and humans:

Hit like a heavyweight, breathe deep, meditate
Make the whole crowd get loud, make 'em levitate
I ride through my city like a presidential candidate
    L-A-X, Phantom double-R, and accelerate
