I was going off what you quoted when you called him out.

So it was the opinion of "Anybody who says this is an absolute idiot who doesn't know what he is speaking about." that got you going?

alexx, I think I've made it abundantly clear a number of times why I posted a general warning in the thread.

So I've lurked a long time around here but have never seen this. I've never seen a moderator threaten action so quickly for such a minuscule thing.

Do the moderators normally swoop in threatening action when someone throws around a name or something offensive? Exactly how moderated is it? Perhaps all those long nights on vent are mixing in with the forum, but I've heard some doozies around here.

    hey hey Jock

Sorry - I can't resist asking the question, it's against my ENFP thing where "When someone crosses something you believe strongly in bla bla bla" bit. I hate seeing one side called out for something I see done in other areas often. Its a consistency and fairness thing and I blame it on my type - I gotta kick and scream....

Alexx, I get what you are saying, because I am notorious about standing up for a perceived underdog - but insulting the person in question, or questioning their integrity, is not the most appropriate way to do it. Of course, you are free to say whatever you want. And of course, they are free to take whatever action they want. I don't believe this site is protected by the 1st Amendment.

everyone uses every function about evenly. take NE for example. if there are those who don't use it much, then why are there such massive amounts of people constantly flowing through Wallmart with 20 items or less?

Well, when most of a thread is a bit snarky (example "Teabagging vs Tea Party) it is easy to be snarky as well.

I thought there were other things in this thread just as if not more offensive.
Sounds like a threat, and treads insultsville...
