Why not? I don't think that there should be any "sin taxes." If there is going to be a tax on weed, it should only be the same sales tax they have on anything else.

No, I don't agree to legalize marijuana to make money. The motives would be wrong if that was the main decision making factor.

If you're asking if I think it should be legal period, I say yes. I think it's more impairing than cigarettes, so I believe it should be legal within a residence or at a stationary event.. like.. having the same policies as alcohol. No driving under the influence and such. I don't like drugs at all, but I could give a shit less if people did whatever they did with their spare time in their own homes.
How is this any different than the regulation and taxation states already do with alcohol and cigarettes?

I had to stop watching that video halfway through. It was too painful.

I'm not sure about a tax.

I'm not sure. I think it might have either been the pace or the way the interviewer was behaving. It was like he wanted to be angry about something, but didn't really have a point.

Allow me to clarify. MY personal standard is not to do drugs or advocate their usage.. so I would not lower my standards during tougher times.

I don't think the government should say "Weed is wrong!" and then say "Crap, we're broke... Let's sell weed." I'm not arguing if I think they're right in thinking weed should be illegal in the first place, but I am saying that if they decide to make it legal it should not be because of a financial recession.

I think alcohol and cigarettes are rightfully legal, and I think soft-core drugs should be legal as well with the same stipulations as alcohol.. as in, no showing up to work within 8 hours of usage, DUI's being harshly punished, etc. I think weed would be taxed the same way the government taxes cigarettes, etc.

My personal beliefs that cigarettes are bad should not stop adults from using them if they so choose. Bad adult decisions are still adult decisions, and it's their right to make them. Likewise, I don't think weed should be in the same categories as heroine, etc. To have a ban on it the same as a ban on meth and such is saying it's as terrible as the more hard-core drugs. I don't think this is the case.

Glenn Beck is a fucking moron. I guess that's what is required to be the 'voice of reason' on Fox news.
