I've listened to "Coast2Coast" off and on for years, Risen. I noticed that you were also a fan when I started reading you.

Seems they've made a move out of the yellow press types of things that were standard format in the old days and have developed a program with considerably more credibility. Ian Punnitt, of Sat. and Sun. nights, is a man worth listening to.

And I have noticed that at times they are my first source of information which mainstream press may pick up on later.

Exactly. I am very familiar with how the main host, George Noory, works. He has a good head on his shoulders, and when he chooses to make a show on a serious issue and expresses his views, you know it's serious and not like his other material which is meant for entertainment. On serious issues, his show is often ahead of the curb just because they are willing to cover the stories and perspectives that the mainstream media just wont cover. It's a really great show that can at times get into important issues without going the political route like conservative talk shows.

This thread doesn't have enough one-liners from ajblaise. I demand more!
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

God, I was just thinking the same thing :P . I must say, it is quite pleasant... In all fairness I duly respect his restraint this time around by actually bringing up well thought out points and not shitty one liners .

aj's a smart dude. Also a smarty-pants dude. Gotta luv it.

Sometimes on the show they'll get an obviously out of whack caller and they'll treat all his statements with such lovely tongue-in-cheek courtesy. Cracks me up.

Man, that numbers lady makes me want to, um.

    Thread derail.

    NEVERMIND.

Does anyone here really think that USA will/could fall apart?
Or you treat this as a circus that will pass?

It will eventually. Like everything else.

That is a complicated question, unlike the simplicity that Synarch would suggest. For the most part, it depends on our ACTIONS. It does not depend on any system, it depends on how we handle things. With what is coming our way, mark my words, we are going to have very difficult times. Does it mean the country will collapse? Well... I doubt it, but that also depends on what you call a collapse.

The way I see it between the things that are coming our way that we can't avoid and the way we are handling those situations is this: the country is going to go into a depression and we may be strained by worsening problems in the middle east and with Mexico. In particular, the economy and situation with Mexico will push our leaders in government to adopt overbearing policies in response to the problem, socialist and tyrannical in nature. The states will either respond to this combined mess by seceding, by resisting the federal government every way they need to short of secession, or by completely following the whims of the government. That is at the state level. Then on the local level and with individuals, you will see a great deal of disenfranchisement (this is developing already). It may fester into civil disorder, violent or otherwise, which would only result in the further encroachment by the federal government.

Focusing more on the economy, we will continue to print more money, nationalize industries and banks, and consolidate the power of the government. The countries credit rating will be downgraded, other countries will stop buying our debt, and the economy will suffer from hyper inflation and a collapse of our currency. Now this trend may continue to spiral downward while we bathe in economic desolation. However, I doubt that'll happen. What they are doing with the economy right now demands that that would happen on its own. However, that's where we enter the globalism side of things.

Once our economy reaches a certain point, and the rest of the world has had enough, they will propose a consolidation on a global scale. Short of us dying a slow painful death, we will simply be kicked to the back of the bus. They will renounce the dollar as the reserve currency, and begin to institute a new currency, with new global regulations and governance. It will be done in the name of saving the world economies, but at a heavy price. This nation will cease to be the influential beacon of liberty and prosperity that it always was. Our sovereignty as a country will rapidly diminish under such a globalist system. If you think states are losing ground now, wait until that happens... This country is going to be mired in what I would liken to a globalist fascism. BIGGGGG government merged with banks and corporation, with its hands in every little detail of individuals' lives, and beholden to the international community and international banks.

These possibilities are further down the road, but time is moving in rapid step now. These things all depend on the actions of people though. Even if these are the desires of some nefarious group of people, what has been set in motion is not something we have to sit back and let happen. People need to start taking charge locally and at the state level to set things back in order. The federal government, however, has its own course, and that is why we have these sovereignty movements being started because the states need to reassert the role of the states and the federal government.

I only talk about this stuff because I've seen it coming down the pike for YEARS along with many others who PAY ATTENTION. You don't have to be a conspiracy theorist to tell where we are being led. There are many non conspiratorial people who would say the same things, although now you see people with clear heads who would formerly scoff at "conspiracy theories", saying "Well heck, I can't completely dismiss it anymore". I know it's disturbing to think about these things, but that doesn't excuse you to be completely apathetic to what is going on just in the present. people need to get on the ball and see what is going on around them, or they are going to lose so much without even realizing it.

I try not to use one-liners all the time. But if I took a bad argument seriously, that would be giving it some legitimacy when it doesn't deserve it.
