You know, I don't think this is right. If only because the law is a big blunt stick and "sex offender" has been applied to people who are not at all deserving of such a title. The young, minor, woman who sent pictures of herself to someone and got convicted as having child pornography. The young man, 18 at the time, who had sex with his girlfriend, who was 16 or 17, and was convicted as a sex offender. Varying other cases that are otherwise ridiculous and do not make sense.

I would be concerned that innocent men would be suffering undue punishment because of a far-too-rash system.

I don't know how I feel about the matter when applied to actual rapists and pedophiles. I think some kind of program where they are locked up and still made productive to society would work. I don't think people like that can be "fixed". There's something inherently miswired in their brains and there's not much you can do about it with therapy or "rehabilitation". Still, I would not see them put to death if they can, in some way, manage to serve the economy.

And at the same time, I would see them put to death so their genetic line is ended.

    Oh so torn.

i wondered for the longest time why this was happening in czech and not other places - and then it hit me - it's their women, the quality and calibur of them and theyre overall attractiveness - it makes the act of a rape far more "severe" when the victim is more attractive. If some guy raped the perfect female form that is Denise Milani, i'd be all for castrating him too.

yes we must avoid derailing. Let's talk about the topic at hand, which is not derailing...wait, what?

But seriously, I guess because the only one that didn't share anja's assumption on the motivations of rape I was getting off topic? Or was it because I phrased it in a general way? Is deduction too difficult for you people?

I don't have a problem with sex offenders being castrated because I don't think they necessarily have a special psychological make-up, or that it matters.
    I don't wanna!
