The only saving grace that test had was that it at least made the fiscal/ideological divide, which your poll removes.

I am sorry this is not too good idea.

Since conservative sensors are not likely to post here. While conservative N are more likely to do so.

So are liberal N...if anything, I'd expect conservatives of both S and N to stay away more (mainly because they tend to be older). I can't see why the proportion of conservative Ns here would be higher than in the general population, though the proportion of liberal S's probably is.

Unless you mean this poll, specifically, and not the forum.

How? If conservative S's are not likely to post here (which I don't think is true), then why would conservative N's be MORE likely to post here? I don't get it.

I'm very N and I'm very anti-Democrat. I am conservative in the classical sense, "low gov't" sense, not this new-fangled "KILLKILLKILL" conservatism.

Totally agree with that... Compassionate conservatism (just not quite the Bush way)

yea, this topic is getting a little weird and we're making some odd generalizations.

Anyway, I'm an S and liberal.
Okay, statistics again. (Too lazy to look up numbers, but this is from my knowledge as of now.)
most of the United States are S.
There is about a half and half split of liberals and conservatives in the United States. Correct?
If what you are saying is true than it would lead to the conclusion that there would end up being more conservatives than liberals in the United States.

If you go by statistics of self-identification, the plurality of Americans are moderates, followed by conservatives, followed by liberals, followed by libertarians, with radicals or others bringing up the rear.

I think I might be kind of liberal, because that fits a bit better than conservative... although now that I think about it, my opinions tend not to really fit either way.

Right. But if we're talking about simply liberal vs. conservative, I think that its close to half and half. (Assuming we exclude all those Americans falling into other categories- which is a lot!! We're excluding probably half Americans here.) Which is another reason why this topic is kind of hard to discuss. It only considers those two categories.
