Absolutely. I can deduce quite easily that I will not be a fan of Obama as POTUS based on decisions/speeches/interviews that he has made. In fact, I can do that for 90+% of the politicians in Washington.

His most significant contribution so far is ending the election.

Well, if he hasn't killed you, then he has only made you stronger.

So yes, I would say he has changed your life.

    Agreed.

I've got a certain sense of relief with him as president. While most of it is because he's not Bush, I do trust his judgment and appreciate his choice of staff.

I'm really curious what Obama will bring as president, but I think it's ridiculous how infatuated many Americans (and the rest of the world) are. Not that I'm a huge fan of Bush, but I'm also certain he wasn't/isn't dumb (as he is portrayed in the media). Yes, he has made choices most people do not agree with, but does that make someone dumb? Let's just try to look at his positive sides.

Also, just because Obama has an intelligent vibe does not mean he will become a good/popular/exemplary president. How about we just wait and see, and decide after 4/8 years? Comparing him to Kennedy at the moment, as the media has done, is just ridiculous; Kennedy has saved the world from a nuclear attack with his firm action, Obama has been senator for 4 years, and has been president less than a month so far.

Just from what I've seen in his first weeks so far, I'm pretty sure he'll go down the same path everyone who didn't vote for him feared he would, which is the opposite of where we should be going during these times. I had "hope" that he would be more sensible and truly go for the non partisan methods (and there was no evidence that he would when OBJECTIVELY looking at what he said on the campaign trail), but it is obvious to me that it is politics as usual, and the extreme ideas he was expunging on the campaign trail haven't CHANGED. This situation with the spending package says it all.

I do not find your attitude creepy. Why are you arguing with me?

I'll say it. Unless by "other people playing the race card for him" we mean "people who worked in his campaign and his speechwriters". Then I guess he can barely be held accountable for anything.

Dude talked a whole lot more about his white momma than his black daddy.

    That's all I'm saying.

Maybe it's cynical, but I still think that the fact that he can "pass" as white among certain voters has a lot to do with his wide appeal. Less cynically: also having a lot to do with his wide appeal is that he is awesome.
