    EDIT: I forgot to mention the best things Obama has done for me.

    1) Closing Gitmo, which was an embarrassment to the United States of America;

    2) Being elected, thereby getting people to shut up about electing Barack Obama for the next 3 1/2 years or so.

    I am hoping that some of the racist Black people I've known will begin, through his presidency, to begin to heal from their sense of resentment and feelings of not having a voice.

    Time to join in.

    Instead of bitching about Republicans, I can now bitch about Democrats. A refreshing change, I must say.

    So far, I believe all he's done is made himself look a bit more foolish to those somewhere in between reasonable and enamored. A big plus.

    I get even more strained and ocnfused looks when I don't express the emotional devotion to him, or return the din of the now mantra, OBAMA.
    Or when I get flak for being objective and waiting to see what he does as a president, and not giving a damn about what he says.

    That's a coup for anyone who isn't a white male. Now anyone (except white males) can sue if they're paid less than anyone else. What a wonderful bill!

    Now companies are going to pay even less because they're going to have to account for these lawsuits in their budget. Wanna know who really wins? Lawyers.
    "We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

    You and I are on the exact opposite side of the spectrum, now aren't we? LOL.

    "Equal pay is by no means just a women's issue, it's a family issue," Obama said. "And in this economy, when so many folks are already working harder for less and struggling to get by, the last thing they can afford is losing part of each month's paycheck to simple and plain discrimination."
