Is anyone really negating the seriousness of discrimination that will take place?

The story outweighed the risk. There is bit a difference between a Presidential scandal and a few soldier's opinions on DADT.

I apologize for being critical of it. If you are friends with a journalist then he can collaborate that news has to go through many filters before it ever comes to us. The first, and most apparent filter, is always the reporter, and the structure of the story reeked of manufactured objectivity. The reality is that most people in the army really don't care about this issue one way or another, and so to see one point of view represented so heavily over the other is just indicative of the reporter's bias. To most people it wouldn't be so apparent, but its one of my biggest pet peeves.

Crap. There goes the one solid barrier between me and future drafts.

You are welcome to find any reporter without some sort of bias in their reporting. I have yet to find one on any political front.

I always found the MacNeil-Lehrer News Hour to be objective.
