It's colder than normal here but it's still 60 so I can't complain.

Here in New Orleans, right below the cold ridge, it feels like any other winter. It was warm enough at noon that I didn't need a jacket.

And yes, I grew up near Atlanta, and when the High-Temperature for the day went below Freezing, they often canceled school. That's intense cold for us.

It's been really hot here for the past week. Like, I'm wearing sunblock hot.

I think we're hogging the blankets down here.

Well, which would you rather do? Get used to 0F weather, and never complain about it being cold, or get used to 60-70F weather, and annoy the northerners every now and then when it drops below 40?

I live in Canada, a couple of hours from Toronto. It was about -17C today, colder with windchill. It wasn't bad though, I actually kind of liked it and ate lunch outside I love the feeling of a deep breath of such cold air... I look forward to it every year, it's fantastic.

My grandma is from a small town waaay up north by the way. See the N in "Jan" on the map on the first page... just south is where she grew up in the 30's. Cold!

Sadly, we'll probably end up getting an above freezing thaw in two weeks, knowing our winters...

    You fucking pussies...

It was snowing and -30 for three god-damn weeks here (Alberta) in December; did you hear us bitching about it? Hell no.

The coldest its been where I live in over a decade. The trick to getting through it is to think about how balmy this would seem to the people (and vampires) of Barrow, Alaska.
