Determine how much you have to pay (or what sort of lucrative job position you have to offer) in order to get your unhealthy food and/or drug on the market?

According to the above story, companies are only required to label where food was processed and packaged, and not where all ingredients originate. In other words, it's almost impossible to avoid food from China. This is quite a shock to me, as I knew we were buying their electronics, but I thought we produced most of our own food. What do you think the ramifications of this could be?
Who did you think screwed the EU's food security? I mean food security was meant to be the very foundation of the European Union, the thing which was going to prevent a war in European or war like nations ever being a feature of Europe again, then there's a massive e-coli outbreak on domestic produce at a time when China is attacking European union food production and subsidy as uncompetitive restrictions on a free market?

Have to say that was my immediate response too, although lately I like Indian food better.

Avoiding Chinese food is nearly impossible for me. While I prefer Japanese food, the allure of Orange Chicken is sometimes just too much to resist.

Already makes me nostalgic about ye olde Western beef saturated with antibiotics and hormones from cows fed on genetically modified soy.

High Fructose Corn Syrup (even though I love it in soda.)

    Enough said.
