    Still, this story is heinous.
I think she acted out of more than frustration. No matter how frustrated i may get with a child, there is no way i would put it in a dryer, unless i was crazy, which this person obviously was.

I have a brilliant idea for cases like this. You get a huge-ass dryer and kill her in the same way she killed her baby. And to hell with this bloody '68er bullshit about her not being responsible. :steam: It's attitudes like this that keep justice from being served.

For those wondering about her mental state, from the linked article:
The incident took place in September but this week a grand jury ruled that the 19-year-old single mum should stand trial on a second degree murder charge after she was ruled mentally competent.

Not that I think it should affect the sentencing she gets or anything, but I would not call someone who thinks it's a good idea to put a baby in a tumble dryer in order to shut them up mentally competent. It's not even a good idea. Definitely not rational.

Well yeah I certainly understand that POV. From a general legal standpoint, a person who's declared mentally competent basically knew what they were doing.

Ah well in that case, I would agree. The only time I would think someone wasn't aware of what they were doing is if, maybe, they killed someone while they were sleepwalking, or had some sort of physiological problem that manifested itself by making them insane.
