I see their point of view, and in many respects agree with it, but at the same time they can't gain any international sympathy with wingnuts like Hamas at the helm.

I don't give a damn anymore. The Middle East is Earth's asshole.

I support the Palestinians, and I sympathize with their plight a great deal. But honestly, I support both sides equally. I don't understand how people can take sides in this conflict when each side has equal claim to the land, and both sides have committed war crimes. I don't support victory for either side - what they need is a compromise.

peace doesn't seem to be a sustainable option. all out war is an unlikely option although it's one which might lead the conflict to a more definite conclusion. so, basically these two peoples are destined to their ongoing struggle pretty much indefinitely.

meh, if they're ok with the costs of the struggle to keep or regain their lands then just let them fight it out. maybe in a hundred years or so they will re-evaluate their priorities.

    Yes. A good point.

The Palestinians and the Israeli are one people. They differ only in religion.

The Catholics and the Protestants both had a claim on Ulster. An idiocy. They are one people, too.

The Swiss can live together. Religion is a private matter. It has nothing to do with the affairs of the state.

Err. That logic is like saying you can take Blacks from the U.S. the Caribbean, South America, Europe, basically everywhere that you can now find blacks in the world, ship them back the Africa and remove the people who live there from the land, give us an army and U.S. backing and then saying, "we're all the same people, why are you mad at us..."
