I think you should overcome your fear, and abandon stereotypical (repressed) answers.
Nobody is here to judge you.

    So, what do you feel?

The fear/aggression drive is one of the most powerful and complex instinct we have inherited from our ancestors. Nobody is a saint, here. For instance, what do you think a surgeon feels when he holds a scalpel?

I think you should drop the superiority complex and realize that a lot of people prefer freedom to a nanny state which may decide to help once they show up, which is usually too late to do anything but assess damage.

Criminals will acquire weapons regardless of the laws restricting them, at the detriment of law abiding citizens. Instead, incredibly harsh penalties should be enforced when an infraction is made.
And why the gang member is unaffected?

People who regularly use guns to commit crimes, often in gang activity are, on average, much less concerned with the legal repercussions of carrying a gun than a normally law abiding person who considers it unlikely they'll ever need it.

Okay, so long as we've got a subjective poll, here's my subjective answer *let's Fi run rampant and s**** on Fe, Ti, Te, and all that good stuff for five minutes*:

    1. Guns are neither good nor evil since guns are things, not living beings.
    2. Some good people use guns; some 'evil' people use guns. You can't change that, so don't try.
    3. Legislating the matter won't help, especially now where guns are rampant. If you did legislate, that would help the black market (get more money) but not citizens.
    4. I don't own a gun, but I enjoyed shooting my father's guns.
    5. If you want a gun, go ahead, but please it would be cool if you weren't a crazy psychopathic nuthead (living near me or anyone I know) who enjoys killing people for sport.
    6. On the other hand, if you want to hunt animals, and you do it responsibly, have at it. I might enjoy trying it myself sometime.
    7. Dude, automatic guns and other weird-ass-shit is banned anyway.
    8. If you ban guns, you ignore the real f*ing problem...
    9. Let's go back to the caveman days where people beat each other with clubs. That must have been fun and good sport. (I'm being somewhat sarcastic here).
    10. People would use other weapons if they did not have guns. And don't give me that bullcrap about people being more violent with guns. What the f*** ever...as if people only got really violent with the event of guns. What retards.

*turns Fe and the little bit of Ti and the somewhat relatively good bit of Te back on*

So am I reading this right that we've gone from sparring with the sublime and shot straight past to the ridiculous by trying to include statistics?

Statistics??? Come on... that's worse than logic for being able to prove anything.
Isn't it time for a colourful metaphor?

    I agree.
    Not all killing is evil.
