Could it have damaging consequences? Of course! But people should really come to expect that. A little sting is worth the reform, and I also think that gambling on good reform vs bad reform is better than never trying at all.
Absolutely. We are living in the lull between what has been and what is to come. The old way isn't working anymore and its on us to become more than we have been. Obama said it well "change in this country comes from the bottom."

I remember saying something similar in '92.

Of course. People are always saying that. What's interesting is when people start acting instead of talking.

Every generation thinks they were the first to think of solving the problems. I did too.

People won't change until the deeper ways we are manipulated fixed. That means each person has to change themselves from the inside out. Otherwise the same cons keep getting played to people's weaknesses. Going to attempt not to get too much on my fav soapbox issue!

Even if Obama loses in SC, he will still go on until at least Feb. 5th. Offices have just opened in RED counties in California (where he is quite popular) and the commercials have just begun. The money is now already spent....so he will go on.

He will go on until the end, but his effective chances of winning may be dead.
    South Carolina is very important.

Love him or hate him you should watch this speech. Absolutely brilliant. He seems very sincere, like he actually believes in what he in what he is saying. That's rare in a politician and I like that a lot.
I've also read his book. I'm wondering... is he suspected of being an NF (Probably ENFx) of some sort? He seems to have very strong ideals and a sense of people.

I would argue that he is an INFP. He certainly is a P, as evidenced by his philosophic view of the world.

I believe he is also introverted, insofar as he is very considered when answering questions and from his books he seems incredibly introspective. His stump speeches could give the impression that he is extroverted, but I believes he derives his sense of right and wrong internally, rather than externally.

I would say he is an extremely outgoing introvert.

My guess is INFP, but he is one of those amazing people that probably consciously switches into various modes, depending on the situation.

As a INFP who wants him for president, that's a pretty interesting theory. I was thinking he is a ENFJ, but you raise some good points. A INFP president? awesome.
