I hope you're not insinuating that one side or the other started that altercation, because it is NOT said which group started it. Either way, you are correct, it is disgusting; no matter who started it.
No I'm not saying which side started it, it is just shit happens when 2 opposing groups are furious at each other.
Ignorant of what they were voting for, and uneducated in the nature of homosexuality and the role of government in society. Satisfied?
So anyone disagreeing with you is ignorant is what you are saying. As I have posted in good vs evil, morals are all relative (and rights per say). This is no exception. They see things completely different then you, and they probably see you as ignorant in their eyes.
I wouldn't mind if they were allowed to marry however I would be more concerned, in my view, they had equal rights. Having the term "marriage" attached, which has been failing in the hetero world for the past 2 generations, just seems asinine to argue over. However, I can understand principles behind it, I just think there are better causes to concentrate on as long as they get equal rights.
I just came back from the protest-march-rally. There from 10-4 and I'm exhausted! There were lots of great speakers and it was peaceful, positive and appropriate. I daresay there were 2,000 people in attendance. Two state congressmen spoke, a King County coucilmember spoke, and the Mayor of Seattle himself spoke! Also, the partner of the woman who died tragically in that awful flood we had 2 years ago (she was trapped in her basement! Kate Fleming - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia), and who was barred from her hospital room during the poor woman's last moments due to not being legally married, spoke.
It was a great experience and I'd do it again.
