yeah... rather surprizing, but who expects something like THAT to happen to someone!

Yeah, I don't know who she is, either. I've seen her picture, and know some members of her family died, but why is she famous?

Is it really possible to feel that close to someone just because you've seen them on tv? Sorry, I don't understand.
I know it's a terrible thing, but I don't feel any more "astounded" than if I had just read in a newspaper about it happening to some stranger.

I feel terrible for her and the rest of her family. She was a favorite of mine on American Idol, and she's been doing really well for herself...she always just seemed like a down-to-earth girl. I can't imagine how terrible it would be to lose family members in such a violent way.

    I was wondering that too...

I think any murder is a tradegy, and having three in your family must be devestating.

I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I think the way people gush over anything bad that happens to celebrities kind of trivializes the tragedies normal folk undergo everyday.

I'm astounded that the death toll is only three. Surely she has other family members that could be added to that total.
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."
