doesn't everyone know that Obama is ahead because GOD loves Obama more than he does McCain?

.... sheesh, people, didn't you listen to the preachers during the past elections?

Fair enough, but I have heard very few people question Ron Paul's sanity. A few very hawkish Republicans, maybe, but mostly they say "I think he's a nice guy, has a few weird policies, no chance of winning." I think people take him somewhat seriously now, especially after his fundraising success and his book.

When people are questioning his sanity, it's usually as a joke. He might be kind of an oddball in reality, but calling people crazy in politics is usually used as an often effective means of dismissing someone.

The reason Obama is ahead is because of the message of change.

We can all unanimously agree that the past 8 years was a nightmare.

The best thing about a democracy is that there is really a way for a message to be voted on and heard.

If some people believe that Obama is a farce, and they don't believe him, then believe the people who vote for change. For those that don't believe in his message, imagine that you voted for a handicapped person, because you wanted to vote for the better treatment of handicapped people. Then later you found out the guy wasn't really handicapped but a faker. Does that make your message and your vote count any less?

NO. You still voted for handicapped rights. So that voice is still real. For all the doubters, if you can't respect Obama, you have to respect the voice and the message of the people voting for change.

    No, no, no.

I'd rather have 16 more years of W than one of Obama. I know I'm in the minority. So be it.

And I wouldn't vote for "handicapped rights" either, so that's a poor analogy. I recommend the Penn & Teller's Bullshit episode on the subject. In the free market, you don't need to legislate that, and when you do, it creates negative stigma (such as that from fields of unused handicapped parking spaces).

I think the main reason people who want change will vote for Obama has more to do with the D, instead of an R, after his name.

"So good?" That's another story. The reason for my preference has to do with approving of several of his decisions in office, and vehemently disapproving of everything Obama stands for.

yeah, but that 10% swing that would vote either, would probably have voted for ron paul too.
