I dont like the idea of revenge.

I feel like its fueled by bitterness and personal insecurity. You just- you dont have the right in my opinion- just because you feel like you are in pain- to cause pain to someone else. Even if its unfair.

But I have a question. Is there a difference between revenge and justice?

Maybe, possibly, but alot of people see revenge as a form of justice since they go by an eye for an eye. If you believe an eye for an eye is a just principle, then revenge is just in that regard.

Justice is very subjective. Some people might consider one thing just, while the other might consider the same thing turning justice on its head. For instance, in politics: people who value "social justice" are upset that some are earning more than others and don't share. Fiscal conservatives feel just the opposite: people should get to keep what they earn, even if some earn more than others: after all, they say, if you work harder, you should earn more.

The point isn't to turn this into a political discussion, but to raise the question: why are there SO MANY different versions of justice? Of what justice even is? Why can't humans come to a consensus? It seems "justice" is highly subjective and a matter persepective...

Justice restores balance. It's not an eye for an eye. Revenge has a motive of hate or rage or spite, intending harm. It's retaliation, nothing more.
