I was reading randomly for fun, and came across these terms in relation to economics. It is the name of a book, and describes how the world globally is or will be, something.

I think these terms means that:
1. There was darkness (like Genesis)
2. Someone diverged (Abraham and God)
3. Everyone will converge in the future when the world globalizes. Which is an Islamic perspective, could be Christian too.

Random book: Great Divergence and Great Convergence - A Global Perspective | Leonid Grinin | Springer

Could aswel be true!

This is a religious perspective. It was expressed by Teilhard de Chardin in his Alpha and Omega points, click on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omega_Point

However there is no evidence at all that supernatural beings exist.

We do know that we are meaning creating animals, and we prefer any meaning to no meaning, and so we see patterns wherever we look. However during the Western Enlightenment we learnt to distinguish between patterns that had a basis in reality and patterns that are only imaginary. The method we used to distinguish patterns of reality is called the scientific method.

Unfortunately many are unable to distinguish between imagination and reality, leading to absurdity.

And some try to impose their imaginative patterns by force.

The first civilization in the world (old Iraq), believed in Gods which kinda were superhumans and they came from another planet today known as Nibiru. I believe those Gods, much like the movie Gods of Egypt, were called Unnukai. But start from Niburu and mesopotamia.

I believe in Aliens, as such there is a connection between Abrahamic faiths and Old Iraq/Mesopotamia.

"So over the years, there have been different pieces of evidence suggesting there might be something there," Luhman explained to AFP.
But the WISE telescope didn't find anything.

The main point in the original post, is perhaps best illustrated in the fact that, if the Nazi's didn't create the most complex encryption code imaginable (enigma code), in a way that wasn't shitty enough to be solvable, we wouldn't have developed a technological understanding to really get computer processing off the ground, and anywhere near the stage that it's at currently (as it seems the private sector is incompetent relative to the vast powers of publicly motivated research and investment).

So we have worst kind of divisive ideological force of fascism to indirectly thank for the technology that keeps a global village functional enough to stave off the looming imperative of the national state to start a scramble to keep itself ideologically functional. Soon the connectivity will have to muster some force of political awareness, making moves against the relevance of the nation state: because if the framework of real politics doesn't get transitioned, the zero-sum mentality of the technocratic executive is going to manifest into a messy embarrassment of anachronistic fools in service to their disrobed nihilism. Which perhaps only the social force of the internet has kept them from that depressing state of scramble.

The Scramble is a reference to the paper on surveying the outcomes of world affairs and resource management, ill cite it properly when I have time..

The universe is so large and the speed of light is so slow, and in evolutionary terms, large celled animals like us have a short evolutionary life span. So the chance of meeting aliens is close to zero.

Yeah this is interesting, so is the time travel theory my BFF suggested in high school. I think about the time travel theory a lot...why is everyone in Genesis vegan, why are they explicitly kicked out of an abundant beautiful garden (like a rain forest for example) for misusing nature (eating of the wrong tree by listening to the base nature/snake). Then the world is supposed to end by fire and we are living in a time of global warming. Jesus is the ultimate SJW...if someone wasn't time traveling in an attempt to save humanity, God is real and the Bible is absolutely true.

But aliens ofc, also occurred to me. "Angels" larger than man, coming from the heavens, to deliver wisdom. A civilization on a more socially evolved planet.

2 Peter 3:10

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.

I also want to add that just because the earth being scorched and laid bare has been foretold, doesn't mean as Christians "we have nothing to worry about"...I'm a great fan of both Pope Francis and the evangelical pastor Matthew Sleeth, who convict Christians of their responsibility to the poor and to Creation. ..even if this is the beginning of the end, it doesn't mean just keep abusing the earth since it's ending - because the more we care and preserve what's left, the more we can act as Christians to ease suffering and sustain life.

Furthermore, pastor Sleeth notes, what if this isn't the end and should we be so presumptuous to say oh well its God's will, when this very rightly could be healed by human stewardship and obedience.

Also, do you have numerology in Islam? Because 7 is a very important number in Revelation, in the Christian Bible, and I find it interesting that there are 7 continents in the world. ..getting back to your theme of convergence being the ultimate goal.

The paper was called: Shell Energy Scenarios to 2050 http://www.shell.com/content/dam/shell/static/public/downloads/brochures/corporate-pkg/scenarios/shell-energy-scenarios2050.pdf

Well, on this topic, although the Nation state's agents are very conscious of the scramble imperative, we are more of less collectively committed to Blue Print, by the cultural narrative that has not yet grown any political regard of its own cultural investments with its innate Blue Print (Global village cultural reliance), being such a real expression of the collective-social-intelligence that pervades a semblance of order in the style of influence Foucault commented on in his espoused sentimentality for the days where centralized power had not yet fully subverted the subtle wisdom of the mob's reluctant attitudes to centrally-organised power- (when public executions allowed the Public to express its displeasure on the legitimacy of political power, to have the state's integrity measured against the peoples understanding of the justice being brought to bear against them in their implicit induction to a social contract that requires public ministrations of assent). The social fabric was a lot more authentic in those days, and we are now revisiting these sentiments in a modern context of communication-promulgated-awareness.

Heaven and Angels, are psychological facts and entities, not literal beings.
If you have to preach to a so-called-Christian about having a responsibility for replenishing the Earth, there are a lot of fundamental stumbling blocks that would have to first be addressed if you wanted that banner of religion to not be anything other than a sham. Also the Earth is similarly a psychological entity: which is why it was held in creation as part of the void, and formless (and darkness was on the face of the deep), you might also notice that water was too part of this void and formless of an earth.

Revelations is a dream, numbers are not significant in themselves, as much as the specific reference of that particular collection of items being innumerated (their dynamic with and among the items numbered together). Revelations is written to be fully understood, and its mysteriousness decoded by understanding, it is an explanation (in dream form) of the revelation of God to man (within the doctrine of Christ). Within revelations it says: 'and the mystery of God shall be at it's end'.

(^What I have said does not speak for or against the existence of "aliens".)

Look at you being completely disrespectful after you whined about my negating or not respecting your view in another thread. Hello pot, meet kettle!

I think you should take your views on Christian Ecology up with the Pope. He thought that all through for you in a huge document called Laudato Si, addressing those "stumbling blocks " and I'm honestly not sure that you comprehend that not all Christians take the Bible literally nor that religion doesn't teach ignorance, nor stupidity, which is a misconception amongst some atheists because of the ignorance that has infiltrated a lot of evangelical protestant cults as well as terrorist groups in the Muslim world. Jews are some of the smartest people on earth and all Catholic clergy have PhDs.

Matthew Sleeth is a former emergency room medical doctor, a highly educated man, who has written multiple books on Christian stewardship for protestants. He's also aware of those "stumbling blocks" you so condescendingly pointed out.

I'm sorry to inform you that you're not the smartest person in the world just because you are an INTJ and religion annoys you.

I just stopped reading half way through when I noticed it was a list of accusations with no reasoning given for any of the indictments. It's impossible to counter mindless babble anyway. Good luck with whatever it is you think your pursuing with your defensive and indirect style of "intellectual" exchange.

I don't understand all, Quran is symbolic, thats true, but it is not a sham.

Also, heaven is both physical and psychological. Angels are light.

I think globalisation is a frightening idea. It allows for totalitarianism to come into being, and thats never good.

But its where we are headed, for better or worse.

We don't see globalization in our time (I mean, it's possible, but highly unlikely), largely because culture throughout the world is anything but uniform, and I don't see it becoming uniform for quite some time (if at all).

Its becoming more and more juxtaposed, culture, I mean, due to mass media which allows cultural exchanges. We may not see globalisation in our lifetime, though, but I think it has to do more with the fact that national governments don't want to lose their sense of sovereignty and have no desire to be replaced by a world government.

Just my 2c.

Liberal democracy is based on the limitation of power, while totalitarianism is based on the maximisation of power.

Globalisation is integration of national economies. Globalisation is not about the integration of political systems, and globalisation is not about the integration of cultures.

In fact it seems globalisation heightens the distinctions between political and cultural systems.

In the 20th century the totalitarian temptation was fed by National Socialism in Germany and International Communism in Russia, and in the 21st century the totalitarian temptation is being fed by radical Islam.

I believe we will reach a conclution, like marx and hegel says: theis (democracy) + antithesis (Islam) = synthesis (eternal kingdom).

When all the world has been synthesized, this process stops, and we have our kingdom, peace.

Norway, being one of the best political systems and best places to live in was ranked as 6th most muslim country in the world. I think we will always need right and left at different times.

Peace

Karl Marx wrote that the destruction of whole peoples would be necessary to bring about proletarian rule. And this is exactly what happened: over 70 years across the world marxism killed 100 million of their own people, click on https://ia800500.us.archive.org/26/...munism-jean-louis-margolin-1999-communism.pdf

As I write marxists and their friends have made an historic alliance with Islam. This would seem odd as marxists tend to be atheist and Islamists are theists, and normally they would be at each others' throats, but the marxists and the islamists both have a common enemy: liberal democracy and the universal declaration of human rights.

And both marxism and political islam are totalitarian, and believe in the maximisation of power, while liberal democracy successfully practises the limitation of power.

Marxism failed in 1989, and we will defeat political islam, unfortunately much blood will be shed in the meantime, and tragically, most of it will be islamic.

Why do you think Islamists and maxists are united? Simply because they have a common enemy? Allah is picky about his friends. In fact my imam said communists bother muslims with rethorical question and transfers the burden of proof on muslims, until they exthaust them. They are leeches.

Maximization of power and limitation of power is right and left, aren't both needed?

I don't want you'r sympathy with muslims, like Bush Did 9/11 said to me at the gay thread. I just find the term dialectics peaceful, and it is used in DBA amongst. You won't defeat Islam until you destroy mecca, cowards, until then your governments plays their wars at muslim territory. Like USA and Russia on Syria. There are many examples.
