I love God so much I'm bumping this thread.

Has anyone found themselves drawing closer to God? If so, I'd love to hear about it.

The more one loves God, the more it is that having nothing in the world means everything, and the less one loves God, the more it is that having everything in the world means nothing.

I don't find myself drawing closer to the God, Ganesh, the elephant headed God, anymore than I find myself drawing closer to the God, Zeus, or the God, Poseidon.

I have found myself drawing closer to the divine within myself and others.

I have had several opportunities as of late to study God, the divine, and matters of faith. Always interesting. I appreciate more and more the commonalities in our perspectives, as well understanding some of the differences better. Humans do like to hold on to their own human perspectives in the guise of divine revelation.
I've been called a criminal, a terrorist, and a threat to the known universe. But everything you were told is a lie. The truth is, they've taken our freedom, our home, and our future. The time has come for all humanity to take a stand...

No. I left a God who judges, punishes and has special people a long time ago. It fell by the wayside along with santa claus and the tooth fairy and other childish affairs.

…If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will lay hold of me.…
