Lots of wisdom in the comments so far.

Can't stress enough the importance of putting yourself in another's shoes before judging them -- and can't stress enough the importance of basing your worldview on evidence, instead of interpreting the evidence based on your established worldview.

Plus... bad things happen to good people. It's a fact. You can be positive and accept that fact at the same time.

things I fucking hate;1 people who are like if you stay positive nothing bad will ever happen. no fuck you yes it will. the secret people I know a few I want to slap them. the people who say you.allow yourself to be annoyed/whatever it is. no the person is annoying like it's shifting part of the blame from both parties onto the person who is annoyed.

How we love alliteration, so how refreshing to see The Power of Positive Thinking replaced by The Poison of Positive Thinking.

Losing faith is usually a very bad thing. If this helps them keep the faith, then I don't care.

The really sick part of all of this is the fact that it takes advantage of the people who can least afford to be taken advantage of. Those people who are so desperate, so weak, so unsuccessful that they are willing to entertain notions like these and have their lives further destroyed.

It sickens me when I hear people talk like this irl. It's like having someone fart in my face. I'm going evangelical atheist in 2014.
