Moral Courage and Freedom

So you 'escape' from one prison to another.

To escape from one prison to another is the great temptation.

For as we escape from one prison, we meet the fear of freedom, and so we are tempted to put ourselves in another prison to feel safe.

The fear of freedom can only be met by courage.

All of us are born free but most of us are in chains because we are afraid to be free.

And the kind of courage freedom needs is moral courage.

Most of us have physical courage. Police, firemen and soldiers have physical courage. And mothers will defend their children like tigers. But very few of us have moral courage. And very few of us are free.

More interesting is what Mole does in his free time when not deconstructing on TypeC. :)

Mole deconstructs real life and the internet.

So real life is the content of the internet.

The purpose of real life is to distract the mind while the internet changes our perceptions and our relationships.

Of course we are all hypnotised by real life, and we are anesthertised by real life, so we won't know or feel how the internet is changing our perceptions and relationships.

We are a patient anesthertised upon an operating table, completely unaware of how we are being changed.

Morality is a prison of set rules designed to keep people under control, so they don't have to take the risk of being free.

There is no freedom without moral courage.

And those who decry morality are moral cowards.
