Default What does ever adventurer need?

This is kind of like the "burning house" idea, if you've heard of it, what does every adventurer need? When embarking on an adventure?

The first items on my Adventure List are the humility to slow down and ask for help when necessary.

Sturdy and comfortable shoes. As my grandma always said, "If your feet hurt, you hurt all over."
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

A pocket full of money to pay for the things forgotten or unable to do on their own, if lacking that, the ability to spend large amounts of time being uncomfortable or being in uncomfortable situations.

I think adventures are all about the freedom to explore things and probe the possibilities. I guess then what we need more than anything for adventures is an open mind and a curious spirit.

    Every adventurer needs...an adventure.
A student said to his master: "You teach me fighting, but you talk about peace. How do you reconcile the two?" The master replied: "It is better to be a warrior in a garden than to be a gardener in a war." - unknown/Chinese
