This is my first time baking frozen pies ever. I don't think I've ever even used a conventional oven before. And I'm doing it while hungover. I'm baking them because I didn't know you had to bake them...I thought they were just thawed. But regardless, I feel so gay right now.

i am thankful for stars and stardust and glitter that was once the breath of space floating ever so gently raining down upon everything like light falling into place finally after traveling so long.

    also sharks. ALWAYS SHARKS.

Aw @gromit, what a nice thread idea.

I'm thankful that I had enough money to be able to come home to see my family on Thanksgiving. Two years ago, I didn't, so now the holiday tastes even sweeter (so to speak!).

Holidays were more fun when I wasn't the mom. The mom ends up doing a crap-load of work a lot of times. If I do all the stuff I'm supposed to do, I am way too tired to enjoy anything. I'd be just fine with Banquet turkey pot pies and pumpkin turn overs from McDonald's. I've been trying to talk my husband into that for years, but he's not having any of it.

This year, we might be having dinner with another family. A family that loves to cook and are generally pleasant, funny people. It sounds like it might be fun. We'll see.
Lol. I see you married a man from the 1950's. Well... except he does most of the cooking. Maybe his family is very traditional and it rubbed off on him (in reference to his attachment to this holiday).

    Don't feel gay. Feel self-sufficient.

I'm also thankful for alcohol while I spend the day at my ex in progress's mother's house. Alcohol makes for less awkward.
