Do you know what the objective of the various cover-ups of the Catholic Church is?

Yeah, I was waiting on something like this, out of respect for the mods and other users I'm not going to play the Nicodemus game.

Last night on a religious program on the radio, the Vice-Chancellor of the Catholic University was asked about child sexual abuse, and he responded by blaming the family.

Yes, the Vice-Chancellor exculpated the Catholic Church by saying that most child sexual abuse occurs within the family.

OK as a social worker of a secular state authority I'm going to tell you that most child sexual abuse DOES occur within the family.

Well, 95% of Australian voters approve of the Royal Commission and 3% don't.

    Ireland, Australia and the Rest

Of the 204 countries in the world only one has completed a judicial inquiry into institutional child abuse, and that country is Ireland.

The second country to commence a judicial inquiry into institutional child abuse is Australia.

It took Ireland 9 years to complete their inquiry into institutional child abuse and the Irish Report is now available.

That leaves 202 countries who are yet to complete or even begin a judicial inquiry into institutional child abuse.

Is your country one of them?

With 202 countries turning a blind eye to child abuse, the first thing to do is to make the teaching of the History of Childhood compulsory in schools.

The second thing to do is to agitate for a national judicial inquiry with coercive powers into institutional child abuse.

    Are we up to it?

It's ironic that on a site devoted to personality, the wellsprings of personality are so assiduously avoided.

And the wellsprings are avoided because they are too close to the bone. And more importantly they are avoided because they are repressed.

And our repressed wellsprings are like an open wound - we dare not touch it for the pain.

And so 202 countries continue abusing children, oblivious to the resulting personalities.
