Often hope is perceived to be true by those promulgating it.
For all that we have done, as a civilization, as individuals, the universe is not stable, and nor is any single thing within it. Stars consume themselves, the universe itself rushes apart, and we ourselves are composed of matter in constant flux. Colonies of cells in temporary alliance, replicating and decaying and housed within, an incandescent cloud of electrical impulses. This is reality, this is self knowledge, and the perception of it will, of course, make you dizzy.

I honestly cannot formulate an opinion.

    Too many variables.

Generally not a big fan of "hope" to begin with. I seem to rely on or give advice about coping instead. Bringing it back to the situation, and helping to find a better way to address it. This requires truth. Or an appreciation of the absurd.

I think there has to be a balance. Positive attitude, but also being realistic.
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

Everybody is going to personalize their take on truth. Hope will motivate them to preserve it.

Hope is paramount. What worth is truth if you have no motivation to live? Hope in lies is usually forgivable, often recoverable and better than the alternative.

Who said you need hope to live? You just live. And appreciate it.

Everyone needs a different kind of hook to keep them in the game. I'm assuming this thread is for those who need hope, otherwise the question doesn't really matter much.
