    Jesus

Although Jesus was surrounded by institutional slavery He said not one word against it.

And although Jesus was surrounded by child, sexual abuse, he said not one word against it.

And although Jesus was surrounded by non-emancipated women, he said not one word against it.

And Jesus could not read and write. He believed the Earth was flat and the Sun went round the Earth. He had no idea the Earth was four and a half thousand million years old. He had no idea of natural selection acting for thousands of millions of years. And absolutely no idea that all life on Earth is part of the same DNA. He had no idea we are part of our galaxy, the Milky Way, consisting of as many as four hundred billion stars. And he had no idea there are hundreds of billions of galaxies in every direction we look, accelerating away from us. He had absolutely no idea of quantum mechanics or general relativity.

Jesus believed demons caused mental and physical illness. And he believed magic could cure illness.

Replace "Jesus" with any other person born around his time or earlier, and they'd likely share 90% of those beliefs.

    Jesus...

Why was jesus a great porn star? He was hung like this *spreads arms wide*
For all that we have done, as a civilization, as individuals, the universe is not stable, and nor is any single thing within it. Stars consume themselves, the universe itself rushes apart, and we ourselves are composed of matter in constant flux. Colonies of cells in temporary alliance, replicating and decaying and housed within, an incandescent cloud of electrical impulses. This is reality, this is self knowledge, and the perception of it will, of course, make you dizzy.

Heck, put any of us (Victor or whomever) back in that time, and we'd be pretty much in the same boat.

To trace the remote in the immediate; the eternal in the ephemeral; the past in the present; the infinite in the finite; these are to me the springs of delight and beauty.” ~ H.P. Lovecraft

This is true dear Jennifer. But it is unlikely either of us would become the Son or Daughter of God, and a God in our own right, worshipped by 32% of those presently alive. So no one would worship us today.

So why do we worship someone who is morally and intellectually inferior?

doooooood he was just being humble......I mean, he could have even created an antimatter bomb (he knew the technology) to destroy everything....but he decided not to because that is not what a 2w3 INFJ so/sx Lawful Good is supposed to do.

Well, if he was who he claimed he was, he would have only hurt his main message (which was already pretty nuts-sounding) and credibility by going against the grain so much. I'll also point out that he didn't address social issues of ANY kind very much, even ones that would have benefited him (concerning the Roman rule, the future of the Jewish people)--just wasn't a very Fe kind of guy. His message was primarily about the Kingdom of God and its implications.

You mean He distracted attention from slavery, child rape and the enchattelment of women by drawing our attention to a non existent Kingdom.

I think magicians call this misdirection.

And He was a magician who worked miracles, so no doubt misdirection was a tool of trade.

You're viewing this too literally victor. Was it a moral improvement AT THE TIME? It's like how eye for an eye > genocide.

I say it's nonexistent, and so do you. Christians don't. Try to see it from their perspective.
