No, what he said here (atheistic agnostic, 99% atheist, teapot atheist, whatever you wanna call it) is pretty much totally in line with the position he's had for a long time.
Does he want a pillow for his head?

If there is a God, then it does make sense to love and praise him. In anycase, to limit God to just one type is a little silly, considering that the Enneagram was originally derived from the concept of all human personality types reflecting different attributes of God.

I see what you're saying though. If I had objective, replicable, falsifiable proof of a deity, then I would be a follower of it, to be sure.
However, no current religious deity meets these conditions.

Doesn't surprise me, sounds like you're asking for the wrong kind of proof for god's existence. If you want rational proof for his existence, there is Natural Theology.

And in reference to my previous take on this issue - I'm referring to rational thinking in the Classical sense.

I guess here's a rough rundown of common arguments on the issue:

BTW, there's an on-going dispute about Dawkins refusing to debate Dr. Craig. (*Trying to move this discussion back on topic*).

I would like to know how you reached that conclusion, too, and I would like a better answer than 'intuition'.

It makes sense because god is omnipotent and can punish us for not praising and loving him.
