There's no such a thing as a set of traits which is universally better, only such a thing as a set of traits which is better in a given environment

this is why social darwinism can't work, we need the variability because if the environment suddenly changes, people that previously were optimal might be completely "useless", and vice versa

Very good point, actually. That's why societies which maintain the same system for centuries always stagnate e.g. Sparta.

Social Darwinism has already proven not to work on a national level in Nazi Germany. Therefore believing in Social Darwinism is a negative trait. In fact one of the worst side effects is that it causes other nations to gang up and attack the Social Darwinist nation. Clearly this is a trait of a very weak nation.

Therefore anyone who believes in Social Darwinism is intentionally taking on weak traits. By their own beliefs they should be exterminated. I suggest we should help them along. That would be the humane thing.

Who would survive a survival of the fittest? Possibly the one who is prepared to go the furthest to win... great... Social Darwinism....aka how to get a complete headcase in charge!

Think about it... your the strongest ever. You are the best...the brightest...but you're unlucky.. so you get hit by a low flying canary just while you are running into battle for your supermarket groceries... now you're unconscious on the floor and someone steps up, neatly severs a few arteries and now your dog food. Who would you say is the best person to advance the race? The one who's on the floor or the person who just took advantage from that and killed them?

Seriously this whole survival theory is almost certainly back wash off of those people who feel that there isn't enough competition in the world and that they're not getting what they think their due.
Isn't it time for a colourful metaphor?

Social Darwinism seems to be the course life takes when intelligence abandons it.

Naesala: Oh no, that I could never do. You see, humans are essential to the fulfillment of my ambitions.

Reyson: You've changed, Naesala. If this is the path you've chosen, I've nothing left to say.
