Religion is an efficient device for controlling large groups of people.

    Voltaire was a conceited Frenchman.
My friend, Fergus, once said that "GOD" was an acronym for "Government Ordered Discipline," LOL!
Honestly, I don't get much out of organized religion, but I don't scoff at those who do.
I'm at peace with the God of my understanding.
To each their own, just don't try to sell me on dogma that is not of my own choosing.
My reply to such attempts will forever be "Go fuck yourself."

It is necessary to invent God to understand Canberra.

For Canberra is a designed, garden city. And it was designed from high above the Molonglo River flowing through the Limestone Plains.

So the design of Canberra only makes sense from the God's-eye view. So to design Canberra, we needed to invent God first.

But we are not ungrateful for the wonderful view, for we designed Canberra using God's own principles of Theosophy and Sacred Geometry. Click on -

So to build the City of God, naturally we had to invent God first.

The God man created is the man God created.
The man God created is not the God man created.

I suppose it could be taken any number of ways, depending on how you define God.

For me, I would interpret this as "God", in this context, is an ideal for which we as men should aspire to be and that it would be in our best interest to make one if need to be to better ourselves.

    My 2 cents.
