I believe the good outweighs the bad. But then I am in a good mood right now...

Overall, I feel there's a balance between the two and it leans towards good. Genesis 1 of the Bible indicates that God created everything good. The universe and everything.

I imagine good as a bright light and I imagine bad as a thing blocking out that light. I feel challenged by the bad in the world where I'd like to push back the curtains and light up the dark spaces; it's a big, heavy curtain. :D

I think the good in this world is enough for us to survive, but hardly enough for a hidden potential to be recognized. Not balanced... Sufficient.

I'm going to use my culture's norms for definitions of good and bad and say that there is more bad in this world than good. But I don't consider that as an indictment on the concept of living, or a judgement on the world itself.

i think 1 good thing is enough to overshadows 10 bad ones. seriously, the world may be fucked, and all your life may be shit, but one beautiful sunset, or one beautiful piece of music or one beautiful person makes for 100 bad things. life is in the details....and it's really beautiful.

What ones mind says about the world always tells more about the mind than it does the world.

Some famous person quoted that thought far more eloquently, but I can't remember who. ;)

It is up to the person to attach value and meaning. This is why someone living in a shitshack with some horrible debilitating illness can still see the world as beautiful, vibrant, and meaningful.. and be grateful for very simple things -- while someone else with health, money, and opportunity can still only see the bad, the dull, or that everything is meaningless.

lolz, there's more to it than that. I feel God in my heart and I feel his presence all around me. I have no doubts. I believe the Bible is God's word.

ok. sorry girl, didn't mean to offend.... :)

I believe the good in myself outweighs the bad in myself. As for the world, I don't care all that much about things I don't control.

If every living thing in the universe died would the good outweigh the bad?

Just good enough to keep things going, but bad enough that the good has to struggle to stay ahead.

It really depends quite a bit upon the moral implications of each individual.

This thread has given me food for thought.

I voted that I believed the good outweighed the bad but perhaps I would change my vote now that I've thought about it. I liked Qlip's response.

If the good outweighed the bad, then God would not destroy us in the end. Which He will.

I don't like quantifying good and bad. They each serve their purpose and in the end good will triumph.
