This is the only line out of that whole post that I can agree with. And yet the Bible is suppose to provide an absolute picture of what God represents and wants for us. :rolli: How contradictory can you get?

I wish I could tell everyone what I've seen. Oh, he was crippled all right - he was wheeled in week after week - and oh one day when he just stood up and danced....everyone was @_@. why would I sacrifice all my pride just to be this stubborn and persistent.

Friends around me have come to believe, even my mum semi believes now, but indeed I cannot explain to strangers online. There's no reason for you to trust me I can see that. But if you were in Melbourne, I would bring you around and show you. I'd show you Jaime. And an Indian girl I met in uni, whose family was healed by Jesus. The 2 people I do know who were healed. I'd show you the man with the bullet scar at the back of his head - an ex convict who became a Christian.

the fact why i have skin over my bones, without my choice, is just one simple thing science cannot explain. my question is not WHAT covers my bones, but why my skin covers my bones. You can say "protective layer" but WHY does it want to cover my bones. because the body programmed it that why...but WHY. WHY did my body do that without my consciously wanting it to..

all i can say is because the big one out there loves you.

So good day, /bow, and if you say there are other Gods, other lifes or other ways, then may that God satisfy you and bring you joy in your life.

so all in all its been good for me to learn it is indeed true that its hard to tell someone who doesnt know you about God. and if you do believe me, you can read my testimony, a very long story a few pages back.

Kiddo: About what you wrote above: You don't believe in the bible, but I do and I say it is complete - for this life, we have less than a 100 years perhaps, for an average person. We only have enough time to choose to believe there is one up there greater than our understanding, or that life is turkey food.

I may not understand fully how God made me, but I trust in heaven he'll teach me all. The bible also says that heaven is a place of not just happiness, but of "knowledge". The children of God would be taught on how to create the world gradually - we have the same powers as the Father.

I had a dream I was walking with him once, and I saw him giving a friend of mine many books...very thick ones to read in her time there. It represented gaining knowledge. For me he gave me a bridge to climb because he said he knew I Was an active person. I saw him say that we were put together at the right time, to be best friends and our friendship was blessed.

But a dream's a dream, just a dream, as you said. But that dream was so real to me, that when I woke up, I was surprised I wasn't still walking in heaven...

Hungrypossum, I'm not criticizing you or anything with my posts, so please don't feel that I am, I just see things differently!

I'd just like to be left alone to beleive in the God I beleive in my own way! I've come to my beleifs by logical conclusions from my own life and those of others that I've seen- and I'm glad that you're happy with your faith! I like it when people are happy! I'm just happy with mine as well, and would appreciate it if people would accept the fact that not everyone is going to look at God the same way, but it doesn't mean that anyone is wrong!

Hungrypossum, that's it? Because you have some personal experiences and observations that you can't explain, you believe there is a God?

I would have loved to have taken you a bit more seriously, if just to be polite, but you actually choose to ignore points about your beliefs that you clearly can't explain. And I think it is just ignorance to ignore relevant information just because it doesn't fit with what you believe.

Regardless of what you want to believe, hungrypossum, as long as you don't harm others intentionally, you can do as you please.

As I suspected you did not point out any of my arguments and instead opted to go for my last two questions. I knew you would do just that and go into a personal explanation of your belief. Personal is all nice but there is no rationality in it, just rationalizing of your experiences.

You believe of what happened to Sasha Cohen in Borat to be real and not satiric comedy. I think he went back to Kazakhstan so you can call him up and ask him how he stopped speaking in tongues.

There is no point in further discussion. However, it was fun while it lasted.

To poke a bit of fun at this:

That accounts for 99% of why women were without orgasms until they stopped getting married first and started having sex before it. It's now about 70% of women without orgasms even while having sex before getting married.

We can blame men for that. And before that.

Note: I love men, so don't hate me~

/sigh. I really wanted to just clear off and do some serious studying for my exam this Friday!!!

IF YOU FRICKING TOUCH GOD, you hear him TALK TO YOU, you SPEAK in tongues, he gives you DREAMS, people pray for you and they speak of your situation and that God is gonna move and change this and that, wouldnt you believe he's there? You think I didn't go... damn this is not logical when I first accepted Christ? When I first received speaking in tongues, I was like damn! @_@ I kept trying it out, and I went in front of a mirror. I was like... can this really be? Could I do it in the past? I stood in the bathroom, to my housemates' chagrin, and tried it for 1/2 an hour. I tried to twist the syllables, but it didn't work. So I gave up and went to sleep. Tried again the next morning, I was like...Damn! this is da shit! It's real I can really do it.

OF COURSE I WAS SKEPTICAL. For 1/2 a friggin year, even after seeing that crippled man stand I was skeptical. I examined him all over, and got embarassed when he saw me looking at him - he just had this wide grin all over his face.

I tell you my dears, all you need is just one touch from him and you'll go like oh my @___________@! Especially Slain in the spirit. You can't even stand up! Your body is like a limp fish on the ground! You'll just be lying on the ground with a smile cos it feels so good! How do you explain to anyone why you can't get up on the floor? Your homies will be hovering about you and going: are you ok? You'll be like: HAHAHA. never felt better but i can only move my mouth.

I'm not ignoring any points!!!! I'm being bombarded, this is my 70th post on this thread! I've been answering and answering!!! *gasps for air* I'm trying to answer all the questions!! ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGg

I didn't read your post up there about Sacha! I didn't see it! And I don't know what point you posted i missed out Kiddo! Everyone is asking questions and I'm trying to finish up so I can study!

About Sacha: ooh, perhaps he was faking it but I'm not aware that you can fake speaking in tongues! And he spoke so well too. The thing is, its not like you feel possessed or anthing. Alot of people who call themselves ex Christians can still speak in tongues.

About the sex bit: This is embarassing to me now, and my life has changed all over, but last year erm...I had sex with every guy I liked. Until the day I realized that God sees me as something so much more than that. It made me feel detestable, you can read my testimony a few pages back. I was a slave to sexual addiction, God freed me from that. And now I love him love him love him ^__________^ *hugs God* He's my Dad!

I am certainly no psychoanalyst, and I do not know enough about you to make this judgment, but from a Freudian perspective it is blatantly clear that you have subconscious (and/or conscious) psychological turmoil regarding your biological father. Am I not correct?

See! This is so ironic! Prove there's a God! Well, God can prove he's there anytime, but if you received a touch from him right now you would freak out cos you would think yourself psycho! That's really sad huh? God wouldn't wanna freak you out.

Prove there's a God! And let's say you see a miracle happen. Then you look and examine, and you go: hmm can't be. Must be psychosis.

The thing is, if there really is a God like I said, he can do anything... right? But when he does contact us, alot of people run away in fear!

I think it was you Merkw, who said a few posts before you can accept that God speaks to men in this day and age. What if he chose to speak to you? Would you go to a psychologist thinking you've gone mad?

You know guys, I really am genuinely surprised that you know no Christian about you that speaks in tongues! I grew up in Asia, and at 14 I had some Christian friends (casual friends) and then when they chatted and stuff I found out about this speaking in tongues bit. I was like: oh so you can do this thing you say? And they were like: yup. Talk to a Christian, maybe they don't speak in tongues but I'm sure some people in their church do. Some have the gift but don't practice it at all.
