Everyone views the world through a twisted lens, a counterbalance, to see the world as a little less twisted than it already is.

The two greatest forces that drive an individual forward on their chosen path: love and hatred. On what path does the man walk who chooses neither love nor hatred?

The path of apathy? Or better, the path of detachment?

If an INTP talks out of his ass and no one is able to make sense of it, is it philosophical?

I can't make sense of that quote, like how does a distorted view make the picture it processes more clear?

I think he is saying that it's not. The wording at the end is bizarre but I think he's saying "by seeing things through a twisted perspective you don't actually see how twisted the world is." Rose-tinted glasses and/or blind ignorance and optimism. At least that's what I interpreted it as.

I' d include pessimism as well. I've always found it strange how people will deride overt optimism, but let pessimism get off on a free ride.

They are both part of the same spectrum just from opposite ends. Extreme pessimism is as distorting as extreme optimism.
