What is the meaning of the American flag?

I suspect that if we received 100 statements trying to answer this question we would receive 100 different meanings for the American flag.

Does this tell us anything about the meaning of “meaning”?
    Shared meanings create a culture.

But what is interesting is that different cultures have different meanings.

And what is even more interesting is that the parochial think that their meanings are shared by everyone.

    Interesting. Thank-you for sharing.
With dreamers, pure and simple, the imagination remains a vaguely sketched inner affair. It is not embodied in any aesthetic or practical invention. Reverie is the equivalent of weak desires. Dreamers are the aboulics of the creative imagination.

Meaning, having not read the OP, to me is....

Content, substance, value, worth, what is real, what matters.

The core of something or someone or some situation, that is the meaning.

If you haven't read the OP, then you have no idea of its content, substance, value, worth, what is real or what matters.

    Having read this...

What is the meaning of ‘meaning’?
I felt able to share my thoughts regarding the subject.

    Oh, and suck it.

    Who are you Victor?

Have you ever loved someone, has anyone ever been in love with you?

What makes you get up in the morning?

    What do you do?

With your time, with your life, well, aside from posting opaque kernels of thought on this forum.

What do you think makes life amazing, or horrifying?

Do you have a family, do you live alone?

How often do you go to the grocery store?

    Are you self sufficient?

Have you ever killed a mammal, or a bird, or a fish, intentionally, or unintentionally?

    Who are you?

If you find that as an attack, I'm sorry.

I'm trying to connect with you, as a human being.
