Ethical Philosophy quiz

Lol, I did this too at first to see what I'd get. It's the most accurate one for me!

:) Yes I picked "d) Doesn't matter/Dislike all answer choices" for everything and marked it high priority.

The questions and answers had words like should, must, proper, wrong, right, consistent, which were a problem for me. But behind those considerations were the considerations of definitions of the abstract terms addressed, of what language itself is, and of whether, after working backward from what we think we know, we really know anything.

On a practical level, the ways people act and choose are influenced not just by ethical philosophy but by culture, family, genetics, education, religious upbringing, trace minerals in the diet or lack thereof, hormones, pheromones of those nearby, weather, parasites, whatever.

The quiz needed an answer choice of "don't know" and a philosophy of "I don't know . . . and I don't know if I don't know." :D

Groggy and didn't really get a lot of the questions. This reminds me of my entry course on political theory in undergrad. Mill, Hume, Hobbes, bah. What does this all mean?!?! LOL.

Can someone more well read in philosophy break this down for me in layman's terms? Am I a hippie?

Cynics 100%
J.S. Mill 96%
Jean-Paul Sartre 94%
Thomas Hobbes 94%
Ayn Rand 89%

Needs a lot more questions, and a lot more options.

0% across the board. This test isn't kind to ethical nihilists.

There is one question that I could vaguely stomach answering definitively, which puts me at 100% for Aquinas and Plato. I can live with that. Aquinas is my favorite philosopher, after all, and Plato not far behind.

Hmm, this fits pretty well actually. The top and bottom few, especially, seem very accurate. I don't think there were enough questions though...

I found that the questions were somewhat ineffectively worded. I agree with the results, though.

Nietzsche on second, heh. Don't know all the positions listed here, but I always liked reading some of Kant's stuff. Although I don't necessarily agree completely on his positions, I like his ability to explain his positions. His thinking is easy to follow and it seems usually well thought out.

edit: I actually don't mind Stoic philosophy.. (and Taoism as well) as a means to gain some peace of mind from lack of justice. But as far as society as a whole goes, you've got to fight for your right to party (other people's rights at least).
