    Default Your Philosophy?

Do you have a personal philosophy? Follow a classic or modern philosopher? Is it something you've worked out consciously or something you dont particularly reflect on but works well for you? Is it something which influences your decision making in the minor or major or is it an after thought if you're reflecting or recalling things after the fact or event?

I take inspiration from a broad array of philosophers, and mold what I've learned into my own personal philosophy.

My philosophy is all about understanding as much as I can in this life, without sacrificing integrity. (ie. have to abide by social standards, work, and other distractions.)

make sure to keep an upload/download ratio of 1/1 unless it's porn or a mainstream/blockbuster.
allocate constant upload slots for that one torrent about integral theory.
avoid leaving the house whenever possible.

Some philosophers spend their whole lives thinking, only to discover that laughter and ignorance is the way to go. You sir, are ahead of the curve.

Actually, the philosophers at least made a serious attempt. As one of my inspirational philosophers once said. It is better to travel well than to arrive.

heh thanks.. I need them to laugh though (especially at myself!), so they should keep on doing what they're doing.

That entirely depends upon the nature of the journey, length of the journey, and nature of the place to which you are arriving. A journey of laughter and blissful ignorance seems a rather pleasant one to me. In fact, I would venture to guess that when one finds his "place" in life, he is perhaps almost always happier than when he is struggling to find it. Granted, a place can be dynamic, and be full of new adventure, but the comfort that comes with an understanding of the world that is in alignment with one's own nature is a very delightful thing indeed.

Edit: I just looked at your username. Fitting.

What do you see. Not with faith-but with the deepest and most still part of you.
What has experience shown you. What does your heart/mind concede on?
What is true? With each moment you are infinite and being pulled toward your highest potential. Do not resist. Experience it.
