The desire to please an omniscient being is entirely illogical. Our notions of devotion and servitude, our feelings of fear and hope would be completely alien and therefore lost on such a creature. Imagine the ant again, not a magical thinking/feeling ant denying humanity but a literal breath-too-hard-and-you'll-kill-it ant. From our perspective there is essentially no thought going on within the ant, just a robotic need to fuck, build, and eat as much as possible before dying. I imagine that this is how an omniscient being would perceive humanity, just as simply existing. Neither "good" nor "bad" (these words are really irrelevant as they are ideas created and carried out by and for humans and are in no way applicable to an omniscient creature) and certainly not worth administering rewards and punishment to.

Just because a being is all-powerful and all-knowing doesn't mean we need to grovel for a chance to serve it. It would have no reason, I think, to make it's acknowledgment of us even known. Again, a phrase such as "value of submissiveness" has no meaning to an omniscient being so there is no point in behaving in such a manner. I guess what I'm saying is that if I died and this somehow put me face-to-face with this Great Essence it would only be for an instant as I'm sure my existence would be very quickly overlooked. And this is all, for the sake of thought, accepting the conditions that such a being exists and that my consciousness continues after death, even transcending the reality I know.

I've always taken a liking to this quote-
"Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones."
    - Marcus Aurelius

I wouldn't have an argument for God. A few questions, perhaps, but no argument for my own sake. If the first portion of the quote applies then fantastic. If the second portion of the quote applies, then God could surely send me to Hell. To me, it would be more of the happenin' place with more happenin' souls in comparison.

    I would also ask,

    "So, what's your personality type?"

    I'm pretty sure he'll respond:

    God: I am XXXX.
Me: I never heard of that kind of porn before.
God: Smartass, get back on Earth young child.

if i died and stood before God there would be no argument. if i died and met God then obviously i did something right, since i wouldn't be burning up in hell. having judged the situation thus far, there would be no judging to be had after. besides, the key is to judge your own worth. if you live your whole life as an asshole and knew it and when you died accepted that you are an asshole and deserve hell, then you have already judged yourself and may end up in a fire pit being poked with pitchforks while linkin park plays endlessly on the PA system. but then again, i don't believe in hell or a God who personally meets you.

No arguements from me, I'd just be on my knees feeling ashamed of all the bad things that I've done.

Judgement? I know (Jesus said so) He'd use the same measuring stick on me that I've always tried to use with others. IOW, use a very big yard stick to measure others 'cause the same yardstick will be used to measure you.
