if I would seek an analogy to emoto's neglected rice, then I would envision it in the child, more precisely it's spirit or soul which has no choice but to neglect it's own embodied potential, it's brain, language, probably also it's emotionality (which i recon is linked to language), .. I could even speculate about a spirit that deliberately kills the brain, because it's sick of being trapped in numb repetitions, while there is no hope for developement/new horizons. like there is none for rice in a silly glass. (btw, i have no opinion on the validity of emoto's experiment). to consciously embrace a form like a brain may take energy, effort - while the powers of kosmic consciousness seem to entertain time and space with eternal inexhaustibility, there still seems to be a tendency to not 'waste' consciousness on specific creatures that make no use of it. but who and what determines this 'usefulness ' ...

umm I think I should mention it has less to do with the rice, and more to do with the water. The rice experiment won't work unless there is water in the rice. Our bodies are made of 70% or more water, Emoto's research was about water, the rice experiment was just a tangible macro experiment to show the effects and something simple and cheap that anyone can do themselves.

And actually, Emoto's researched involved the (subjective)human intention just as much as the water, the water absorbs and reflects our emotions and intentions. It also absorbs the surrounding environment's energies, it's the universal solvent right?

WikiAnswers - What makes water the universal solvent

We owe our lives to the existence of water.
