It has been no doubt through out time that people have associated wisdom as containing a balance of humility and confidence. Yet each trait if used incorrectly can grab the perception of complete stupidity.
So here is my question. Humility vs confidence. What is the strength and weakness of each and how are they best utilized. Can we apply them to function, He Hi Ce Ci. What is the prefferential combination? In your opinion. |

Okay Humility vs. Confidence. Internal Confidence with External Humility is the best imo.

![]() Humility and Confidence aren't opposites in my opinion so I don't see how they would conflict with each other. Humility vs. Ambition is a different story.

Confidence is often associated with arrogance, and that is why confidence seems at odds with humility. To be confident in your abilities without letting it go to your head is ideal.

It does take a degree of self awareness, but I'd say if you think you're competencies in a few areas somehow make you a better person in general (or an expert in general, or whatever) then it has gone to your head.
